The nearby beaches are pebbly or rocky, with man-made sunbathing platforms. They are blue flag beaches: clean and safe, naturally shaded by the pine trees. There are also showers and dressing cabins.
Rabac is the ideal starting point for many interesting excursions. Visit Pula, the largest Istrian town with its magnificent Arena. See the sights in Rovinj, a town whose beauty was described by the famous writer Jules Verne in his book Matthias Sandorf.
Sail on a boat through the Lim channel, a nature park and the only fjord on the Adriatic. Head towards the Brijuni archipelago with its Roman and Byzantine excavation sites and an exotic safari park. Visit Hum, the smallest town in the world, and do not miss Motovun, the town of truffles and of the film festival. Last but not least experience the untouched natural beauty of the Plitvice Lakes.
